1. How do I start?
    Simply choose the program that’s right for your parish and place your order. If you aren’t sure which program will be the best for your parish, we’ll be glad to advise you. After you order, place an announcement in your parish bulletin about the program (sample announcements are included in your Faithraiser Success Plan and at LighthouseCatholicMedia.com). To help build anticipation, ask your pastor to make “pre-announcements” after each Mass about the “Free Catholic CD program” that is coming soon from Lighthouse Catholic Media™.
  2. What do I do when the display arrives?
    It is very helpful for your Pastor to make an announcement after each Mass about the program’s arrival. A brief and enthusiastic explanation of the program will greatly influence the number of people who visit your Faithraiser™ display.
    For best results, Father’s announcement should include the following:
    • A personal recommendation of the materials.
    • Location of the display.
    • A parish volunteer by the display to answer questions.
    • CDs and pamphlets are FREE - but there is a suggested donation.
    • Donations over the suggested amount will go directly to the Church (or specified programs/ministries).

  4. How do I make sure that people donate?
    Place the display where there is a lot of traffic, so that everyone can see it as they exit the Church. Be sure to have a volunteer at the display after each Mass. At least one of your volunteers should always be an adult. Restock the materials as needed after each Mass.
  5. What do the volunteers need to know?
    • Be familiar with the content of the pamphlets and CDs to be better able to answer questions.
    • The materials will help parishioners better understand their Faith and help them grow closer to God.
    • Every donation - whether large or small - is greatly appreciated and will help continue the program.
    • Being appropriately dressed places value on the program.

    Key Points to Share:
    • “This is the Catholic CD program that that Father was talking about.”
    • “Please be generous, so our Church can continue this program.”
    • “When you are finished with the CDs please pass them on to a friend.”
    • “If we have enough donations we can order new pamphlets and CDs that will contain different titles.”
    No matter how much of a donation parishioners make ($100 or $1.00) ALWAYS make sure to thank them for their generosity and for supporting the Faith.
  6. How do I keep people interested in the program?
    Parishioners who have taken materials will be asking when the next batch of CDs and pamphlets will be coming in. This is an opportunity for your volunteers to ask for further donations to ensure that you can continue the program and order more materials. Also, be sure to let parishioners know that the program is successful by placing positive and upbeat bulletin announcements regarding the status of the Faithraiser™ program (i.e., “Last chance to get these materials before new titles arrive!” and “New Lighthouse™ CDs and pamphlets are here!”).
    As long as you keep titles coming in and follow these suggestions your program will be an ongoing success!
